Birthday Boys.

So about 2 months ago, Owen turned 2-years-old!  Where did the time go?!?  He was very excited about it and had a fun day : )

Then we had a joint birthday party for the boys at the park.  It was a very nice day and the boys had a great time.

Then JJ turned 5-years-old!!  Seriously, where has the time gone?!?!?!?

More Barcelona.

We went to the zoo in Barcelona and had a great time.  It made me really excited to be able to go to the zoo all the time once we're back in San Diego : )

This was one of my favorite animals of the day, an albino kangaroo!

Our last full day there, we went to the beach and it was beautiful.  The boys had a great time playing in the sand and the water was very nice.  Overall, it was a great vacation.

Barcelona.

Last month we took our last big trip during our time here in Italy and it was definitely bittersweet.  We went to Barcelona and had a great long weekend.  It was pretty hot and crowded, but we still had a good time. 

Here's JJ waiting for the metro.  Both boys loved that we rode the train around so much while we were there.

This was an amazing fresh food market.  There was tons of seafood and most of it wasn't even dead yet!

We spent a few hours at La Sagrada Familia and it was gorgeous.  We were feeling a little spoiled though because this cathedral felt so young since it is less than 200 years old.  It was probably the newest cathedral we've seen since moving here!

Here's the view from the top of one of the towers.  They wouldn't let the kids go up, so only Brian got to go to the very top.  I got to stay at the bottom with crying JJ because he really wanted to go : (

Finishing up France.

One of the things I wanted to see while in France were the lavender fields and they did not disappoint!  We saw lots of gorgeous fields and then stopped by this Abbey one day.

One day we took a day trip over to Pont du Gard and it was very impressive.

Then we stopped by Nimes and saw some old ruins and let the boys run around : )

Ok, so I'm finally done posting about France!  As I'm sure you've been able to tell, we had an amazing vacation and were so blessed to be able to spend time with Michael, Krista, and Tristan.
