Prague.

Here are some more random Prague pictures.  It was such a gorgeous city.  Since we were there during the week it wasn't too crowded, which was great.

Enjoying a Starbucks : )

This clock is in one of the main squares in the city.  Every hour Christ appears and his followed by the Twelve Apostles.  It was really beautiful.

Prague Zoo.

Wow, I just looked at the calendar.  March just flew by with Brian finishing classes (both A's by the way!), lots of sick kids, appointments, and stuff filling up our lives!  So here are some very belated more pictures from Prague.

The Prague Zoo was great!  It was almost as good as San Diego, but the weather in San Diego is much better : )

Owen's reaction to seeing tigers for the first time . . .

Prague - The Charles Bridge.

We went to Prague last week and had an amazing time!  We came home with 312 pictures, so I'll do a few posts : )

The Charles Bridge is probably one of my favorite places in the world now.  The view is amazing and it's so powerful to be surrounded by all the history.  Since it wasn't very crowded during the week, the boys were free to roam so we all really enjoyed it.

Chickenpox!

So JJ was sick almost all of Christmas break.  He was tired, had a fever that just wouldn't go away, and he even threw-up all over himself and our bed one night.  We weren't really sure what was going on with him.  The day after New Year's, he had this weird rash that was starting to form and the next morning it was getting worse.  I finally figured it out. . .  it was chickenpox!  We took him to the doctor, who didn't initially believe us, but he confirmed that I was right.

We had declined the vaccine and were hoping that he would get the natural immunity and knew that being in Italy would be our best chance for him to get it.  We had a rough couple of days, but overall it wasn't too bad.  It was disappointing though because since all of his friends are vaccinated here, no one would come over for a chickenpox party!  Luckily we all survived our month of quarantine.

I think Owen knew he would be next . . .

Sure enough, almost 2 weeks after JJ had his first pox, Owen broke out.  Unfortunately, Owen's were a lot worse and he was literally covered head to toe.  He was pretty good though and there were only a few really long nights of no sleep.

That lingering mark between JJ's eyes looks like it might be his only scar from the chickenpox.

The boys are now all healed up and doing much better.  JJ almost looks "normal" again, but Owen is still all spotty.  The doctor said it could take up to a year for them to completely go away.  They might look a little silly at the pool this summer!

Christmas.

Don't look at the calendar.  Yes, here's our Christmas : )

Both boys were sick on Christmas Eve, but Brian still made an amazing dinner.  Poor little Owen even fell asleep in my arms.

We had a nice relaxing Christmas morning and then went to a friends house for dinner.  It was a nice day.
